Does Shockwarehouse Install Shocks or Offer Alignment Services?

This is one of the most common questions our team receives — and we completely understand why. When you're shopping for shocks, struts, or other suspension components, it's natural to wonder if the company selling the parts can also handle the installation.

Shockwarehouse Is an Online Parts Retailer

Shockwarehouse is an online suspension parts store — we do not install parts or perform alignment services. We specialize in selling high-quality shocks, struts, steering stabilizers, helper springs, lift kits, and other suspension components from top brands like Bilstein, Fox, KYB, Monroe, Rancho, Koni, and more. We ship directly to your door, but we do not have a physical service shop or installation bays.

Where to Get Your Parts Installed

Once your order arrives, you'll need to have the parts installed separately. Here are your best options:

  • Local mechanic or auto repair shop: Most independent shops can install shocks and struts. Call ahead to confirm they work on suspension components and ask for a quote on labor.
  • Dealership service center: Your vehicle's dealer can install aftermarket shocks and struts, though labor rates may be higher than an independent shop.
  • Specialty suspension or off-road shop: If you're installing a lift kit, coilovers, or performance suspension, a shop that specializes in suspension work will have the most experience.
  • DIY installation: Many shock and strut replacements are straightforward for experienced DIYers with basic tools. However, strut assemblies and coil-spring-over-shock setups require a spring compressor and additional safety precautions.

What About Wheel Alignments?

Shockwarehouse does not perform wheel alignments. However, we strongly recommend getting an alignment after installing new suspension components — especially struts, coilovers, lift kits, or any parts that change your ride height or suspension geometry. Your local tire shop, mechanic, or dealership can perform this service, and it typically costs between $75 and $150.

How We Can Help

While we don't turn wrenches, our team is here to help you in other ways:

  • Finding the right parts: Use our vehicle lookup tool to find shocks and struts that fit your exact year, make, model, and trim.
  • Product recommendations: Not sure which brand or series is right for your driving style? Our team can help you compare options like Bilstein B6 vs. Fox 2.0, or KYB Excel-G vs. Monroe OESpectrum.
  • Technical questions: If you have questions about part compatibility, mounting types, or which components you need for a complete job, reach out to our customer service team.
